From campaign setup and budget minimums to ad formats and targeting options — this comprehensive FAQ answers every question advertisers commonly ask when getting started with crypto advertising on the Cointraffic network.
Query no more! For all of those advertisers out there who have sent in their questions through email – we've compiled the answers in one handy resource for you.
Covering everything from minimum spend, to data privacy to special discounts – here's a list of our Frequently Asked Questions.
1. How can I open an account at Cointraffic?
Welcome aboard! Feel free to sign up and use the self-service platform to launch a campaign. Three different advertising formats are available: Banner Ads, Native Ads, and Cryptocurrency PR distribution. For optimal results, combine all 3 formats.
2. What is the minimum budget to start with?
The minimum budget to launch a marketing campaign is 500 EUR. However, starting with at least 5,000 EUR is recommended for better test results.
Ads will appear on hundreds of crypto-websites in various formats. A smaller budget may not provide a wide pool of results for testing and iteration. The most successful client ads use larger budgets, allowing analysis of different results to focus on formats that best convert customers.
The dedicated team provides feedback during testing to help increase conversion rates.
3. Which model does Cointraffic use: CPC, CPL, CPA or CPM?
Cointraffic works exclusively within a CPM model (cost per 1000 views served). The proprietary system counts every impression. For more information, contact the team directly.
4. Why are my company or personal contact details required? Why is Know-Your-Customer (KYC) so important?
Personal details are required to process payments efficiently and without delays. As an official EU-registered organization, legal requirements mandate collecting specific client data.
Personal data integrity and security are prioritized – details will not be shared with third parties and are held in strict accordance with GDPR regulations.
5. What payment methods are available?
Direct bank transfers are preferred, with no fees for clients. BTC via Bitpay is also accepted, though transaction fees apply. Tokens, credit card payments, and PayPal are not currently accepted.
6. Can you offer any discounts?
For specific periods, campaigns, and ad formats, special terms can be discussed with a manager.
7. Where can reports and statistics be found?
Upon ad launch, detailed statistics for each campaign and banner are accessible from the advertiser's account. Reports can be filtered by days or viewed globally, showing impressions, clicks, CTR, and costs. Setting up Google Analytics or similar tools helps understand the conversion funnel.
8. Which websites will show my ads?
Marketing materials appear only on leading websites and platforms fully related to cryptocurrency and blockchain. Websites are tailored to advertiser needs, with constant additions of high-quality publishers.
Overall, there are 400+ publishers across major global portals, including coinmarketcap.com, ccn.com, coingecko.com, and others. Ads appear across industry sites, mostly in above-the-fold positions.
9. Which banner formats can we use?
Multiple banner types are offered, including JPG, GIF, and HTML-5. Banner creation services are available separately – the in-house creative team specializes in ad design. In some cases, this service may be complimentary.
10. What targeting options do you offer?
In geo-targeting settings, certain countries or websites can be excluded or included upon request. Frequency capping and blacklists are used to increase conversion rates.
11. What is CTR? Why is it needed? What is the average CTR for banner ads?
CTR is the ratio of users who click on a link to the total users who view ads. Click-through rates vary significantly but serve as useful analytics for understanding banner performance.
CPM rates are calculated based on advertising format type, quality of website traffic, GEO settings, and website subject.
Average CTR for banners:
- In-page (static) ~ 0.12%
- Sticky footer ~ 0.17%
- Premium header ~ 0.30%
- Sticky mobile ~ 0.80%
- In-page (static) mobile ~ 0.37%
- Native ads ~ 0.40%
12. How do I know I'm speaking with an official representative from Cointraffic?
Official emails come from an address ending in @cointraffic.io. For verification, email the support team, and they will confirm as a priority.
